Peter Davidson (1837-1915), cofounder of the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor (H.B. of L), was born and raised in Scotland. A pioneering occultist, in 1885 he began editing The Occult Magazine, the organ of the H.B. of L. In 1886 he immigrated to the United States, where he began publishing a magazine called The Morning Star, which eventually became an English language organ of Max and Alma Théon’s Cosmic Movement.
This 32-page chapbook reprints the Cosmic Publication handbook The Seductions of Satan Towards Man and Our Earth, which was originally published in 1908 and of which only two copies are currently known to exist. The subject of the writing is the Cosmic Tradition of the Théons.
